in-Home Day Training
This option is for those who want to leave the bulk of the work to the professional but don’t like the idea of sending your dog away to a Board & Train. I will work with your dog in your home while you are at work or otherwise occupied. Training will therefore go a bit faster for the dog. Then we will set aside one or more sessions where I show you all that your dog has mastered and how to manage and reinforce that training to keep it polished.
THE BEST PART OF DAY TRAINING IS I DO THE HOMEWORK FOR YOU!!
There are 2 options for In-Home Day Training Packages.
Basic Manners Training
Basic Manners is for all dogs ages 16 weeks and up. This package includes an in-home consultation session, 9 training sessions with your dog, and 3 transfer sessions with you. This will take place over 4 weeks. Your dog will be trained to Sit, Watch Me, Touch, Down, Stay, Wait, Go to Place, Leave It, Polite Greetings, Recall, and Walk on a Loose Leash. The outcome is you have a polite dog that understands all the basic manners cues and is easier to live with, maybe even an angel!

Customized Training
Schedule In-Home Training to address specific behaviors you would like to work on. This will meet your own personal needs and goals for your dog. Common behaviors addressed can be loose leash walking, greeting guests in the home and outside the home, jumping up, counter surfing, resource guarding, and recall. The package can be will be completely designed specifically for you, therefore the number of sessions required is dependent on your goals. There will be a minimum of one free in-home consultation, 3 training sessions with your dog, and 1 transfer session with you.

Common training issues we can address and support in Day training
Basic Manners
You can have a personalized approach to teaching your dog his basic manners such as sit, down, go to place, touch, come, stay, leave it, and walk on a loose leash.
Barking
We can comprise a plan to stop your dog’s excessive barking before your neighbors have you evicted or the UPS man stops delivering to your home!
Shyness or fear
We can tailor an approach to help your shy or fearful dog become desensitized to some of the objects or people they are anxious about.
Leash training
No more pulling your shoulder out of place or planting you face first on the sidewalk. We can address your dog’s leash pulling and help you have more pleasant neighborhood walks.
Jumping Up
During customized in-home day training we can develop a strategic plan to eliminate your dog’s jumping behaviors. No more fear of Aunt Betty being knocked over by your dog at Christmas this year!
Resource Guarding
If your dog has issues guarding his food, toys, or beds, we can work on strategies to curb this behavior and make him much less scary around items in your home.
Is In-Home Day training the best option for you?
Day training is the perfect solution for people with busy schedules and no time to spend training your own dog. After all, you would love a polite dog, but have no desire to become a dog trainer yourself. Also not everyone is comfortable in a group training class nor has the time or patience to complete an online course. Many people definitely don’t want to send their dog off to an expensive board and train option just to get their dog home and realize they don’t act the same for them as they did the trainer. This option provides the best of both worlds in the sense that a professional trains your dog in their own familiar environment and the learning is then completely transferred to you.
